My last company, which i left on sep. 2009 with all resignation formalities has send me a legar notice.?

My last company, which i left on sep. 2009 with all resignation formalities has send me a legar notice. I got a latter from the advocate mentioned that i have to pay some mony, coz i have not returned the assets of the company. But i never had that assets of company which they have mentioned and i also have the mail from the sails department that i have submitted all my assets. So i just want to know that can i take any legar action agains the company coz. now i have shifted to Bangalore and the company was in Gurgaon and coz of them i was in tension.
